*It's a wonderful warm day in May and Ruka is sat outside, under a tree, on either the Academy Island or in the park in Domino City. She looks to be hard at work though, as she mulls over some books she has with her, occasionally jotting down notes in a notebook. On closer inspection, the books appear to be theories on time travel, as well as history books.
Feel free to bother her about this or something completely different!*

Oh, Wakahisa-sensei. I'm er... *She looks down at the books* ... I'm mostly just researching something, that's all.

And what would that something be? ::Flips through your books to see if there's anything in particular you're history-ing about.::

Well... I remember you telling me to compare the history of this time and the history of my own, to see if it had any differences before we arrived here...
...it's a little hard though, because all I can rely on for my own time's history is what I learned through the online lessons my brother I took back where we came from.

Though so far, I don't think I've really found any differences.

*Sure enough, the notebook is full of notes about various historical events and what Ruka, herself, remembers about them from her own time. There is also a few notes about various theories on time travel, including paradoxes and the like. The books she has with her all have bits of paper sticking out from the pages, that she's using to mark important pages. It's actually quite a lot of work.*

That I did. And you don't have access to any history from your world. So that makes things difficult.

Personally, if it helps, I've at least encountered the Multiple World interpretation and the Flexible Timeline versions, myself. It's a very nasty business overall.

*Ruka smiles a little at Noriko's complement, but it doesn't stay on her face for long*

Thanks, Wakahisa-sensei. I'm sure I'll be fine. I just need to keep looking up the information and I'm sure I'll find something eventually.
I just... really want to know the Crimson Dragon's motive for bringing us here and whether our presence really has changed time or not.

I don't know your Crimson Dragon... but considering what I know myself...? Its reasons and ethics and worldview are probably utterly alien and severely divorced from what you know.

Which doesn't make it evil. Just... I'll put it this way. God-like entities are the sorts who think it's worthwhile to waste huge amounts of energy and effort to do things you might consider frivolous or trivial.

Still. I'm impressed with your research. Can I ask what your current speculation is, though...?

Ancient Fairy tells me that even she doesn't know why the Crimson Dragon sent us here, she seems to still trust that it's for an important reason but...

*Ruka trails off and thinks*

I really don't have much speculation as to why the Crimson Dragon sent us here yet... I know we've been involved in some important events, but this timeline has it's own set of dragons and signers and some very powerful and capable people... I feel that if the same events played out if we weren't here, things would of worked out eventually anyway...

I'm still guessing this timeline is an alternate one. Though somehow very similar... I don't know why else there would be another set of signers and dragons here.

So far, I'm guessing the Crimson Dragon hasn't sent us back to our own time either because there's something here we still need to do... or maybe our timeline somehow doesn't exist anymore... nothing to send us back to...

But... to be honest... even if it could send us back, I....

*She seems to trail off there, as if she was going to say something, but decided not to*

... "Might not want to go home"? ::Sits down next to you, in her uniform and labcoat.::

*Ruka pulls her legs up to her chest and nods*

...yeah.

... I know the feeling. I've... never been welcomed home for a long time. ::Just sits there next to you, pulling her own legs up to her chest, in an attempt to try and sympathize.::

*Ruka looks up*

*Ruka looks sadly at Noriko*

It hurts... but it's been a great freedom and opportunity. If your Dragon is so merciful, maybe he wanted to give you an opportunity? ... Question, what is your last name?

My last name? It's--- *Somehow, her last name is drowned out by an ominous clap of loud thunder. Somehow, while they've been talking, the nice spring day has quickly turned overcast with storm clouds*

Guess we shouldn't stay out here too much longer...

*Ruka packs her books away and stands up*

I guess if it wanted to just give us an opportunity, then I can understand that... but it's created a really difficult situation for Rua and me. Though Rua doesn't seem to ever really think about it...

... ::Quirks eyebrow.:: Hrm. Would you like me to walk you back in case the storm gets bad?

*Ruka looks at the clouds, then at Noriko*

That's okay, Wakahisa-sensei. If I hurry, I'll probably make it. You should make sure to find cover too.

Honestly? I wish it was more stormy and grey in the sky all the time. ::Giggles at that.::

*Ruka looks back up at the clouds and laughs a little in response*

I prefer clear sunny skies, but a storm now and then is good. Things feel more refreshed after it.

Stormy clouds reminds me of home, to be honest. Anyways, get out of the cloud before you get a fever or a cold.
