Well, it seems everything is set up. I should get my result from my final theory paper tomorrow, but I'm positive there will be no issues with it.
Next week will be a whole new step for me. It's kind of scary, but something I feel I need to do, in order to help myself grow.

What is it you're doing, Ruka?

Well, since I have a guaranteed full-time position at the Spirit Foundation, I have decided that I will also be moving out from living with Juudai and Asuka-san. I'll be still living at Sakana, but I will have my own apartment from next week.

Yes. That way, if I ever do need help, I am still close to the friends who have supported me so far and it keeps things familiar.

So you'll definitely be working full-time soon, then? At least you'll be done with schooling.

Yes. I'll be working at the Spirit Foundation as a Duel Spirit Researcher and I will also still be assisting Juudai while working in the field.

I guess that means you're still going to be pretty busy then, huh?

Yes, I will be quite busy, but I will at least have one or two days off a week, depending on what's going on and how busy things are.

So, I'm hoping I will have a little free time to do other things. I've missed getting to hang out with you and Yuma too, so maybe we'll be able to find some time to do something between my job and your studies.

I'd like that, at least. It'd be nice to have some time to do things together.

That don't involve giant monsters showing up, of course.

Yes. I agree! Hopefully the next time we do something it will be... less eventful in that way.

Agreed. And somewhere nowhere near the park. At all.

Maybe some place like the arcade, or the shopping mall, or just a cafe...

Those sound nice. Or we can go to the museum, maybe closer to the holidays. They tend to put up something neat there over it.

First of all, I just want to say how grateful I am to the both of you. When my whole world came crashing down, you both opened the door to your home to me and gave me a place to stay. You not only let me live with you as a house guest, but you both treated me as a part of your family and I don't think I'd ever be able to repay you for that.
But I know the arrangement was only temporary until I picked myself back up and until I finished my studies. I know the both of you have your own lives to lead and I know I shouldn't out-stay my welcome.

I wanted to wait until everything was set in stone to let you know this, but I got the confirmation today so...
... since I have a guaranteed full-time position at the Spirit Foundation, there's simply no reason why I cannot fend for myself from now on so... I'll be moving into my own apartment here at Sakana, starting next week.

I just hope that in my time living with you both, that I was a good house guest.

*Juudai seems a little surprised at first, but he then smiles at Ruka.*

Ruka, you were a great house guest. Maybe there were times where the arrangement was difficult, but you remained really respectful to both myself and Asuka and it's never something we've ever regretted doing.

But I'm really happy that we could give you a place to call your home up until now and that you've found the courage to and stand on your own feet. I think it really shows how much you've grown in yourself these past two years.

It's already sorted. I've actually been arranging it these past few weeks, but I got the confirmation that I can move in to the apartment I've chosen here from next week.

I guess it's a little sudden, but I wanted to be sure of everything before I told you both.

*Juudai looks over at Asuka.*

Well, it makes sense for her to stay at Sakana, all her friends are here!

*Ruka nods.*

There is a small one-bedroomed apartment here that I think must of been the shrine room when Sakana was still a mansion. Even though it's small, it's big enough for one person to live in.

... I hope that room isn't covered in Fujiwara's magic.

I'm sure it's fine. I didn't feel anything malicious about the apartment.

...and I will admit I checked for anything odd... like goat skulls...
